This website uses cookies.
Cookies are small data files sent by a web server and stored on your device. These files typically include:
- Information about the website itself.
- A unique identifier to recognise your browser on future visits.
- Data relevant to the cookie's purpose, such as user preferences or session details.
- The cookie's lifespan, specifying how long it will remain on your device.
We use cookies to enhance your experience and ensure the smooth operation of our services. Cookies are commonly used across the internet, but you can adjust your browser settings to limit their use. Alternatively you can use the functionality of our cookie banner for this. However, restricting cookies may impact the proper functionality of our services.
How you can control cookies through your browser settings:
- Chrome: Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies
- Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies
- Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Cookies
- Edge: Settings > Cookies and Site Permissions
This Cookie Policy is part of our Privacy Statement and applies to all websites, applications, and services owned, managed, and operated by WislaCode.
We might be using several cookie categories within our products, services and websites:
- Essential cookies – used for proper functioning of our services' features.
- Performance cookies – used for better understanding of how our products are used by you.
- Functionality cookies – used for remembering user settings and other preferences.
- Targeting or Advertising cookies – used for personalised advertising and tracking user interactions.
In addition to the cookies we set directly, our websites and applications use cookies from trusted third-party providers. These cookies enable essential functionalities, enhance user experience, and support analytics and marketing features. They may collect data to deliver specific services or improve performance, with their use governed by the privacy policies of the respective providers.
Third-party cookies are crucial for maintaining the functionality and performance of our applications. While we strive to ensure their responsible use, we encourage users to review the privacy policies of these providers for more details on their data practices.
Cookies (including third party cookies) used on our websites and applications have different lifespans depending on their type and purpose. These retention periods are set to balance functionality and privacy, ensuring cookies are stored only as long as necessary to serve their intended purpose.
We and our partners use the following cookies:
| Cookie | Retention period | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| wislacode_cookie_consent | Up to 1 year | Stores your cookie consent choices so we can respect them. Strictly necessary. |
| wc_no_track | Up to 2 years | Remembers a choice to opt out of our own first-party analytics, so we stop recording page views from this browser. Set only if you use our analytics opt-out link. Strictly necessary to honour that choice. |
| Cloudflare Turnstile | Session / short-lived | Bot protection on our forms; cookies are set by Cloudflare when the challenge runs. |
| wc_oauth_nonce | 10 minutes | Security token used only during optional LinkedIn/Google sign-in (CSRF protection). |
| wc_lead_identity | 10 minutes | Carries your provider-verified name and email during optional sign-in autofill; short-lived and cleared once used. |
| wc_resource_access | 30 minutes | Remembers that you unlocked our downloadable resources (by submitting a resource form or using optional sign-in) so you can download the guides during your visit without registering again. Signed and tamper-protected; carries only the name and email you provided. Strictly necessary for the download you requested. |
| wc_admin_captcha | 15 minutes | Proof of a passed captcha on staff admin login; admin users only. |
| wc_admin_sso | 10 minutes | Security token used only during optional staff "Sign in with Google" admin login (CSRF protection and PKCE); admin users only, cleared once sign-in completes. |
| payload-token | Up to 7 days | Staff admin session; admin users only. |
| Google Maps | Set by Google when loaded | Office map on the contact page; loads only after you consent or click "Show map". |
| YouTube (no-cookie mode) | Set by YouTube when you play | Company video on the about page; loads only when you click play. |
| LinkedIn / Google sign-in | Set by the provider during sign-in | Optional one-click sign-in on our forms; runs only if you choose it. |
| WislaCode AI assistant | No cookies | Our on-site AI assistant does not set cookies. Your conversation is handled by our own server and is covered by our Privacy Statement. |
| WislaCode analytics and search (first-party) | No cookies | Our own first-party analytics - which pages you view, and the words you type into our on-site search (with personal data removed) - set no cookies. They are recorded only if you accept analytics cookies, are not used to identify you (the search log carries no identifier at all), and are covered by our Privacy Statement. |
When you accept analytics or marketing cookies in the banner, we load the tools below through Google Tag Manager, and only then are the cookies in the tables below set. If you accept neither category, none of these cookies are set.
To measure traffic accurately we use Google Consent Mode. Google Tag Manager and Google's own tags (Google Analytics and Google Ads) load on each page view, but until you consent they run in a cookieless mode: they set none of the cookies below and use no cross-site identifiers, sending Google only aggregate signals. The non-Google tools (Microsoft Clarity and the LinkedIn Insight Tag) do not load at all until you give the matching consent.
Some of these providers process data outside the EEA (mainly the USA); such transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Cookies set by Google, Microsoft and LinkedIn are governed by their own privacy and cookie policies.
