Intelligent platform for carsharing
A design concept for a carsharing launch - a progressive web app approach, prototyped to be convenient for customers and efficient to run.
The client was opening a new business - carsharing. We suggested PWA as an optimal solution in terms of efficiency, costs and speed of development. Once we got approval, we started analysing and prototyping.
What we delivered: the PWA concept and an interactive prototype - the architecture, the user journeys and the registration and payment flows - ready to take into build. The concept was not taken to production.
Matching, payments, real-time tracking and a rider experience built to scale - we ship the whole stack.
Introduced simple registration via social networks. Although the full functionality of the personal account becomes available only after the documents are confirmed, already at this stage the user gets acquainted with the application functionality, sees the available cars and warms up for future interactions.
An enhanced notification system promptly alerts users to successful and unsuccessful payments, including failed direct debit transactions. If a transaction is unsuccessful, the customer receives suggestions for an alternative payment method and direct communication with the customer support team.
Payment management is available in the account: view payments due, payment history (with filtering function), invoices and receipts. Payments are integrated into the application and can be made in several ways to choose from.
A pleasant user experience that anticipates every possible customer need: detailed information on current and future rentals, tracking of current rental limits (days, mileage, etc.), possibility to extend or change terms.
The prototype mapped the direct interaction between the operator and its customers and validated a fast, low-cost route to launching a carsharing service - ready to take into build.
